The problem contained.
The solution delivered.
Quovex Fire Safety helps architects, developers, builders and certifiers carry projects through approval — especially the ones that don't fit the standard template.
Good buildings often don't fit the recipe.
Most buildings comply with the National Construction Code through its Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions. Good buildings often don't. An open stair connecting levels, a travel distance a few metres over the table, a hydrant that can't quite reach an irregular site — none of these makes a design unsafe. It makes the design a candidate for a Performance Solution.
That is where Quovex works. We assess your design against the Performance Requirements themselves, build the engineering case that it satisfies them, and document it in a form your certifier and the fire brigade can act on. The result is a project that keeps both its design intent and its programme.
Six disciplines. One coordinated answer.
A cladding decision changes a fire strategy; an acoustic build-up changes an FRL; an access ramp changes an egress path. We cover the disciplines below as one team, so the advice you receive is already reconciled.
Fire Safety Engineering
Performance Solutions, fire engineering reports and brigade consultation for designs outside the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions.
Explore → 02Performance Solutions
Technical justification for designs that depart from the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions — across fire, access, acoustics and more.
Explore → 03BCA & NCC Consulting
Clause-by-clause compliance assessments and BCA reports for DA, CC and CDC — Class 2 to Class 9.
Explore → 04Hydraulic Services (Fire)
Hydrant, sprinkler and hose reel coverage reviewed against the standards that govern them.
Explore → 05Accessibility Consulting
Access reports and audits against the NCC access provisions and the AS 1428 suite.
Explore → 06Façade Engineering & Testing
Combustibility assessments, cladding reviews, weatherproofing performance and test-evidence review.
Explore →Fluent in the current code
We work in NCC 2022 daily — Class 2 to Class 9, DTS and Performance Requirements alike — and track amendments as they land, so your report is written against the edition your certifier will assess.
One consultancy, eight disciplines
Fire engineering rarely travels alone. Compliance questions spill into façades, acoustics, access, hydraulics and energy. Covering those under one roof means the answers arrive coordinated, not contradictory.
Documentation certifiers can act on
A report only works if the person approving it can rely on it. Ours are structured for assessment: clause references, methods stated, evidence appended, conclusions unambiguous.
Small team, direct answers
You deal with the engineer doing the work. Questions get answered in hours, not routed through account managers.
From drawings to approval.
Diagnosis is free — if the question turns out to need a different discipline than you expected, we'll say so before you're committed to anything.
Start a project →Send drawings
Send your drawing set and a two-sentence brief. If a certifier or council has raised the matter in writing, include that — it sharpens the scope.
Fixed-fee proposal
Within [2–3] business days you receive a proposal naming the deliverable, the assessment pathway and the timeframe. The date we give is the date we mean.
Assess & consult
We assess, then consult the people who matter — certifier, council, Fire and Rescue NSW — before finalising, not after rejection.
Documentation for approval
You receive documentation written to be assessed. If queries come back, we answer them; that's part of the job, not a variation.
Where we work
Across NSW and All state.
Have a design that doesn't fit the template?
That's our favourite kind. Send the drawings and a short brief — you'll have a fixed-fee proposal within 2–3 business days.
